We help these healthcare professionals navigate substance use or mental health challenges, ensuring health, safety, and quality patient care.

As our Clinical Coordinator, you will play a central role in coordinating care, guiding participants, and overseeing program compliance—all while making a real impact in the lives of professionals and the communities they serve.  This is a “non-treatment” position, in that there is NOT a provider-patient relationship.

  • Care Coordination: Oversee participant care from intake through evaluation, treatment, aftercare, and monitoring through program completion.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise case management staff and monitor compliance processes, maintains own case load.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Maintain excellent relationships with participants, employers, medical schools, evaluation/treatment providers, insurance companies, credentialing bodies and licensure boards.
  • Policy & Quality Assurance: Support policy development, review processes,  recommend and implement improvements.
  • Education & Outreach: Assist with statewide educational programs and presentations on substance use disorders, mental health, stress, burnout and the physician’s health program.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage scheduling, correspondence, filing, and digital recordkeeping.

Location & Travel

  • Based in Mount Clare, WV with work performed in-office.
  • Occasional statewide travel for educational presentations, conferences, and in-person meetings.

Qualification Requirements

  • Advanced degree in mental health/addiction (MSW, LCPC, NP, RN, PA, MD, DO, or equivalent); state licensure desirable
  • 3–5 years of clinical experience, ideally with professional populations
  • Knowledge of chemical dependency, psychiatric, and medical diagnoses
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; File Center experience is a plus
  • Passion for helping healthcare professionals thrive

Benefit of Working at WVMPHP

  • Professional Growth: Participate in conferences, statewide presentations, and educational programs
  • Competitive Benefits: Salary $75,000 + (depending on qualifications) with full benefits and growth opportunities
